February - winter

February.

Dull and dreary.

Nothing cheery.

Winter’s punch is lame and weak.

Only boredom is at its peak.

All good things must come and go

but February is arduously slow.



Joy - winter

Joy

is like snow,

flake upon flake

compiling many times over

eventually to create

an entire landscape

that's been given for our sake.

A picture of beauty,

a pathway to peace

that stretches out like a blanket

underneath.

This delicate gladness

so kindly accrues

we're remarkably filled

before we ever knew

what it's meaning was

and how it could be true.

Let's pray a prayer for all of us

who are at a loss to see

the joys of God that fall all around,

oh, so gradually.

Change - spring

He changed history.

He changed who we can be.

The world keeps turning

but with the rise

of each new sun upon our eyes

Christ's Love brings us

new hope for our lives -

to walk with God in forgiveness of wrongs

that would otherwise bring our demise.

With renewal of what life can truly be

let us share this Love so peaceful and free

so that no soul is left who does not know

how He changed the world to rescue our soul.
