Through the Pines - winter

Flurries through the pines
are free and in no hurry.
They flutter in the air
unlike other snow,
meandering merely on their own.
No wonders they cannot collect their thoughts
into accumulation as other snow is taught.
The lessons we could learn from flurries:
remain unique and
what's the hurry?

White robe of sunlit snow - winter

Oh white robe of sunlit snow,
it's of you our God is seen:
not with brown of sandy beach
or land of grassy of green.
Countenance like lightning,
God is described by saints of old,
hold the brilliance of the sun
for those of us below...
Oh white robe of sunlit snow,
the creator made you to show
His majesty and golden glow
to take us to the heavenly realms
with spritely sprays
over drifted waves
in His  purity we shall be saved.
Oh white robe of sunlit snow
Upon your sea - Gods Glory shown.

When Demands turn to Desire - winter

When demands turn to desire
we have found the childlike faith
in which we'll never tire.
Why should our view of the Father
be driven by what we see as His demands?
Why can't we instead be internally pleased
by joyously following His commands?
Like any child who knows he has pleased
we're happy and peaceful,
our conscience is eased;
When what God wants becomes our own thirst,
we are one with Him
and can't be coerced.
Christ obeyed when in the form of man,
to show the grace and love of God
is the goal of the commands,
and all of this can be in us
through faith in His good and perfect will
for when demands turn to desires
we are, with Him, fulfilled.

Romans 12:2 -Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
