Here on earth

so separated

from each other

and from our 

God.

We're always reaching ever out,

hope filling our feelings

as we cast them about.

We must not give up;

He is really there

the Love of earth

and heaven is stronger than despair.

I hang onto this hope

that Your compassion

will push its way through

and my soul will find You.
