The moon holds February in its wake,
the snow capturing the white, sanctioned light
and dispersing it throughout the acquiescent night.
So it steadfast stands
like one who is second in command;
one who guides nocturnal ways
as the the still, chill air and icy satin sheen
comprise the properties propelling it on -
converging with the dawn.
