Where once we gathered
and would sit
on a summers eve in the warmth of
friendship
with a fire beneath us
and stars above
whether words or no
we were all a part of
the being
the sharing
the true embrace
that comes with just living
same time
same place
same generation
face to face
serving
then leaving
we look back upon
