Walk on Water - fall

You didn’t sink and you didn’t fly,
You came for us to see you eye to eye.
You weren’t above and You weren’t below
You walked on the water
where no one else could go.
No wonder Peter was drawn toward,
no wonder compelled to try,
for a Lord to have humbled himself so
is to draw us to Your side.
So take us to Your Holy mountain
or simply grasp us by the hand,
Truly You were Almighty God
come from the sun and stars
to walk as mortal man.

Breath of Autumn-fall

The breath of autumn
has swept through the land,
unloading the leaves
where the trees still stand.
A miracle actually
that they return
like a new day dawning
and life relearned.
No matter what's been taken from you
get up the next day and follow through.
Whatever is missing
or been denied
can be refilled
by God, from inside.

Canopy - fall

I look at the trees
and I can see
a wounded back against the bark
and Your arms as the branches,
unprotected,
spread out for me.

God, You are our canopy
You form loving arms
that reach out to me.
I walk through the beauty of these,
the color of the trees,
and know Your Love
that Your creation allows us to see
Jesus -
be my canopy.

I’m following the path
Your arching arms are leading me through;
knowing that it’s You.
The Son shows His colors
and we sense His Truth
that we bring only ourselves
to His banquet anew.
His bounty abounds above my head –
Jesus feed me and fall all about
as I treasure Your measure of Love poured out.

God, You are our canopy
You form loving arms
that reach out to me.
I walk through the beauty of these,
the color of the trees,
and know Your Love
that Your creation allows us to see
Jesus -
be my canopy.

Wounded Wing - fall

Oh little bird,
you poor thing,
hurting and helpless
with your sad, broken wing.
I lift you up gently with
caring hands
and just hold you here
so you'll understand
that in your affliction
there's someone near
desiring to fix
but even more - to be here.
Just rest in this moment
and feel the anguish ease
with a soothing presence
that heals and relieves.

Luke 13:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Servant Seed - fall

Servant seed,
fall to the ground
no servant is worthy
who is found to be proud.
It’s the lowly of heart
who rises above
the wrongs of this world
on wings of God’s love.

How is your life right now? - summer

How is your life right now?
We're both with the living,
I'm wondering what it's giving
to you?
It's true,
there's always something we're goin'
through...
just know you're not alone
that's why I'm sharing this poem-
we can better face whatever
if we're facing it together
so -
How is your life right now?

Hope for Humanity - summer

Look over the city -
shining lights below,
wondering who the people are
and where they all will go.
Will it be a good day
or filled with fear and strife?
There’s a story for each soul
and there is God for every life.

So instead of feeling hopeless
or helpless with what we see
there are promises and prayers for these
and a hope for humanity.

What if an excitement came –
that all the sadness could be changed
‘cause healing had been prearranged
by the Lord who came to heal?
Revelations one by one
brought peace to those who seek God’s Son
and Jesus comes to make it right,
when the Holy One comes into our night.

So instead of feeling hopeless
or helpless with what we see,
there are promises and prayers for these
and a hope for humanity.
He’s the hope for humanity.

Hope for Humanity - summer

Look over the city -
shining lights below,
wondering who the people are
and where they all will go.
Will it be a good night
or filled with fear and strife?
There’s a story for each soul
and God who gave them life.
So instead of feeling hopeless
and helpless
with what we see
there are promises and prayers for these
and a hope for humanity.

What if an excitement came –
that all the sadness could be changed
‘cause healing had been prearranged
by the Lord who came to restore?
What if revelations one by one
brought peace to those
who seek God’s Son
and Jesus comes to make it right
when the Holy One comes into our night?
So instead of feeling hopeless
or helpless
with what we see
there are prayers for these
